#1 SUSTAINABLE PET FOOD
SECOND CHANCE INGREDiENTS
95.7% LESS CO2 THAN CHICKEN BREAST
94.9% LESS CO2 THAN INSECT
Humans are wasteful. 1/3 of the food produced in the world goes to waste! With chickens, they take the breasts and legs and package them for supermarkets and leave the delicious, nutritious organ meats, offcuts and trims. We give this a second chance. This is second chance chicken. We use other second chance ingredients like fibre-filled apple pulp from apple juice production. We sniff out these ingredients because they’re the healthiest, most sustainable way to make food for your dog. We’ll never breed animals just for dog food, not even insects. There’s no point producing anything new whilst so much is being thrown away.
We are carbon neutral. We wrok with myclimate to calculate the carbon emissions on all our products, and we offset our co2 emissions. This is not as simple as just planting trees. we are working on a range of projects which help prevent deforestation, reduce co2 emissions and protect the habit of endangered animals.
Around 9% of co2 emissions in pet food manufacturing comes from the manufacturing process itself. We constantly decrease energy consumptionin our manufacturing with the latest energy-efficient technologies while maximizing the use of renewable energy sources. We also apply the principles of zero waste. We are rated A+ for energy efficiency and maximum energy savings.
We are always looking to improve the sustainability of all areas of our products. Food bags are currently made from fully recyclable monomaterial to reduce waste. Even our office and marketing has a zero paper policy.
We never go too far to sniff out the sustainable. We are constantly lowering the transport distance of each ingredient into the processing plant. 95% of everything we source comes from local distances.
We are part of 1% for the planet. As part of the organistaion we pledge to give 1% of our gross sales (not just profits) to verified planet-helping causes. We believe in real change and making a real difference, not greenwashing, and 1% for the planet holds us accountable for these promises.
